In compliance with Art. 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation) /hereinafter the “GDPR”/, we would like to take this opportunity to inform you that Czech Machine Tool Society, z.s., ID: 60448393, with its registered seat at Horská 2040/3, Praha – Nově Město, Post Code 128 00, incorporated in the Commercial Registry administered by the Municipal Court in Prague under file number L 6131(hereinafter “CMTS”) as the administrator of personal data processes personal data listed in the registration form, namely first name, surname, institution/company (employer), e-mail address, job position, phone number (hereinafter the “Personal Data”) for purposes related to your registration and participation in the HSM conference held by CMTS, including notifying you of your registration for this conference, and also for the purposes of recording participants’ names to enable CMTS to send invitations for other professional educational events, pursuant to Art. 6 (1)(f) of the GDPR.

CMTS processes Personal Data in order to conduct activities leading to fulfilment of CMTS’s purpose pursuant to CMTS’s statutes, in particular holding professional educational events, i.e. scientific and work-related conferences, lectures, discussions, professional seminars, courses, professional excursions, various meetings of professionals, etc. (hereinafter the “Professional Educational Events” or “Professional Educational Event”). Professional Educational Events serve the following purposes: sharing of industry news and professional information, support of development of production, development and use of machine tools in the Czech Republic with a focus on effectively helping our machine tool industry achieve a high standard and helping the Czech Republic increase its share in the global production of machine tools, as well as facilitating meetings between professionals working on machine tools and their manufacture, development and use. Professional Educational Events are intended primarily for professionals from the machine tool industry. The legal grounds for processing of Personal Data by CMTS is the need to process such data for the purposes of CMTS’s legitimate interests, which are fulfilling CMTS’s purpose pursuant to its statutes.

Personal Data will be processed and stored by CMTS until the purpose of the processing expires. Personal Data will not be disclosed to third parties.

Provision of Personal Data is voluntary. Please be informed that you may cancel your registration for Professional Educational Events at any time by sending an e-mail to You will not receive any further invitations to Professional Educational Events and processing of your Personal Data will cease.

The subject of the data, i.e. the participant of a Professional Educational Event whose Personal Data is processed by CMTS (hereinafter the “Data Subject”) has the right to submit a written request to CMTS to provide information about processing of his/her Personal Data, to the attention of the Chairman of CMTS at the following address: CMTS, Horská 3, Praha 2, Post Code 128 00. The Data Subject is also entitled to have CMTS immediately correct any incorrect data related to his/her person. If the Data Subject believes that the GDPR was violated in relation to protection of his/her Personal Data, s/he is entitled to file a complaint with a supervisory office (Office for Personal Data Protection).




By filling in the Personal Data in the registration form for participation in a Professional Educational Event held by CMTS and submitting the registration form, the Data Subject gives his/her consent to CMTS to take photographs during the Professional Educational Event on which the Data Subject can be identified (hereinafter the “Photographs”) and to process the Photographs in hardcopies or in digital form (intangible form) for potential publication of presentations made during conferences or professional seminars held by CMTS or for informative, illustrative and promotional purposes on CMTS’s website or Facebook page and/or in printed professional media pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) of the GDPR.

Publication of professional publications about machine tools, i.e. conference and professional seminar proceedings (hereinafter the “Professional Publications”), and support of scientific and publication activities in relation to machine tools are two of the activities CMTS conducts to fulfil its purpose pursuant to its statutes.

Photographs shall be processed in compliance with the relevant GDPR provisions. Processing means mainly the following:

  • Submitting of the Photographs for publication in Professional Publications, i.e. to parties working with CMTSto pursue the purpose stipulated above,
  • Storage of the Photographs on CMTS’s discs which can be accessed only by authorised individuals, or in a place designated for archiving of written documentation,
  • Publication of the Photographs on CMTS’s website or Facebook page,
  • Publication of the Photographsin articles in printed Professional Publications,

until the purpose of the processing expires, or until withdrawal of the consent to taking and processing of the Photographs.

The consent is provided on a fully voluntary basis and its provision has no influence on processing of the Data Subject’s Personal Data provided to CMTS and processed based on CMTS’s legitimate interest.

In compliance with Art. (7)(3) of the GDPR, the Data Subject is entitled to withdraw his/her consent to processing of the Photographs at any time without stating the reason for his/her withdrawal by sending an e-mail to The consent withdrawal is without prejudice to Personal Data processing conducted based on CMTS’s legitimate interest. Further, the consent withdrawal is without prejudice to Personal Data processing conducted based on legal grounds different from the consent and legitimate interest (e.g. for contract performance). Withdrawal of the consent may affect fulfilment of the purpose for which the consent had been provided, unless it is possible to fulfil the purpose by different means.

Further, the Data Subject has the right to:

  • access the Photographs (in compliance with Art. 15 of the GDPR),
  • obtain rectification of the Photographs(in compliance with Art.16 of the GDPR),
  • havethe Photographs erased based on the grounds stipulated in Art.17 of the GDPR,
  • restrict processing of the Photographs in compliance with Art. 18 of the GDPR,
  • portability of the Photographs based on the grounds stipulated in Art.20of theGDPR,
  • lodge a complaint against CMTSin compliance with Art.77 of the GDPR.
